No parody, but new interpretation of the penny dreadful novel character – with references to the old film adaptations of the 60s: FBI agent Cotton has to solve the murder of his old adversary Sammy Serrano. Amusing gangster persiflage with extremely successful moments! The music by Zerlett, which begins with the original 60s Cotton March by Peter Thomas, is also remarkable. It can be heard in Zerlett's version, in addition to 60s swing jazz and big band sounds – to which Peter Thomas contributed orchestration tips- and orchestral elements that the Babelsberg Film Orchestra played. With the Cotton March, Zerlett worked with Christoph Zirngil with whom he has a long musical partnership.

Director's Biography:Boss (born in Munich in 1974) and Stennert (born in Göttingen in 1975) are directors and scriptwriters working as a duo. After completing their directing studies at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, they made their first joint feature film in 2006.
