Punk`s not dead. Especially in the backyards of South Central and East Los Angeles there is a flourishing subculture. The documentary: LOS PUNKS: WE ARE ALL WE HAVE follows a group of Hispanic youngsters and young adults, who belong to the scene. They are musicians in the bands, but at the same time they look after marketing and production, organise concerts and deal with safety issues. Above all they are fans. And punks. The first feature film by Angela Boatwright, a New York artist and photographer, highlights this scene. The film shows the coherence of the community, its life and its music - authentic, loud and honest. That`s punk rock.
