50 years of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW! This anniversary documentary traces the path of Richard O’Brien’s musical from London in the early 1970s, through its initial cinema flop, and on to 50 years of absolute cult status with a worldwide fan base. In personal interviews, the cast, crew and fans of the film and the numerous theatre productions recount crazy, exciting and touching stories relating to the cultural phenomenon and the circumstances of its production. The importance of theatre plays and films for the LGBTQIA+ movement is thereby emphasised. “Don’t dream it, be it” – an appeal for acceptance and self-realisation. Director's Biography:Director's Biography:Andreas Zerr was a marketing manager at Apple from 1999 to 2002, after which he worked as a freelance film and television editor. The Hamburg native founded a production company in 2012, which he ran until 2020. He is now once again self-employed and produces films and documentaries.
