”Which future will we harvest” Taggart Siegels` and Jon Betz` multi-award winning documentary poses this question. Seeds are the basis for all prosperity - as well as water. For thousands of years people have refined their seeds, adapted to changing conditions in their environment, thus increasing the biodiversity. But in the last 100 years, 9 out of 10 of the old grains, fruit and vegetable varieties have died out in favour of industrial types, which are controlled and dominated by large corporations. SEED tells the story of the people who want to save the meager remnants of the old diversity and of the opportunity to preserve adapted and resilient varieties for a better future.
