Portraits from old films and magazines, appropriated and anonymised: beaming tulips and thorny cacti whirr behind stamped out heads. The flowers rotatae, dance, pulse. Framed by shining hair, pearl chains and evening dresses or grey uniforms, a botanical fever dream emerges. SHE DOLLS WITH DOLLIES is named and accompanied by Kurt Schwitters' poem of1944.

Director's Biography:Karin Fisslthaler is a visual artist, musician (aka Cherry Sunkist) and lecturer at the University of Art and Design Linz. Her themes are the appropriation and transformation of found footage and cinematographic and pop cultural artifacts.
