Filmmaker Christoph Schwarz is broke. An ORF contract to film a “climate strike” for a whole year as a self-experiment is supposed to fix the situation! But Schwarz takes the experiment to extremes: a “money strike” as a capitalism-critical performance and a surreptitious opportunity to acquire the weekend house he longs for. Schwarz salvages food, plants potatoes on roundabouts, grows herbs in a convertible car and organises bicycle demonstrations – even blocking motorway construction sites. And in this self-deprecating mockumentary, the boundaries between activism, art and extreme double standards become increasingly blurred.

Director's Biography:Director's Biography:Christoph Schwarz (born 1981 in Vienna) is an Austrian media artist and filmmaker. After studying visual media design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, he began developing autofictional works that explore the boundaries between documentary and fiction.
