Picture by Diego Lopez Calvin. The failure of this legendary film project itself became the subject of the award-winning documentary film LOST IN LA MANCHA. Only in the third attempt 25 years later did the master, Terry Gilliam (BRAZIL) succeed in making the film – even the premiere at the 2018 Film Festival in Cannes was almost thwarted by a legal dispute. In the FR Daniel Kothenschulte raved about ”the most spectacular and funniest closing film that a festival can wish for.” The opulent and clever fable about ”money, madness and the movie business” (Guardian) tells the story of a commercial filmmaker (Adam Driver), who meets a man who thinks he is Don Quixote (Jonathan Pryce). Together they have an absurd adventure.
