14-year old Camille, her 3 younger siblings and her caring parents lead a happy life in a small town in France until they join a religious community which gradually exerts influence on the family. Camille is not any longer allowed to wear black or to attend lessons at her beloved circus school. Torn between her family and the refusal of a life that she perceives as more and more bizarre, Camille must grow up fast. The chilling story, supported by wonderful performances of an oustanding cast, is based on personal childhood experiences of the filmmaker.
