It almost seems as if the violin is a mystical creature within the instruments. Not only did virtuous players become world stars, but the same can be said about the builders such as Stradivari. Director and former BIFF intern Benedikt Schulte takes us to meet a magical, sworn in community, when we accompany him into the winter forest on the hunt for the perfect wood and watch the art of making wood sound and clink both by the musician as well as the builder.
