After her brother’s suicide, the sheltered world of 17-year old Rebekka shatters into a thousand pieces. She feels nothing but emptiness, and her family does not talk about the circumstances of her sibling’s death. But Rebekka needs answers. At the cemetery, she meets Vincent, her brother’s best friend, and after initial arguments, they find common ground. Against her parents’ resistance, a love story between Rebekka and Vincent develops, both healing and destructive. In order to find herself, Rebekka needs to break free. ALBTRÄUMER is an emphatic coming-of-age story that deals with love, death and family.

Director's Biography:Philipp Klinger grew up in the Black Forest region. Trained as a digital media designer, he worked as editor and assistant director and studied directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. ALBTRÄUMER is his feature film debut. He works and lives in Berlin.
