„Dreams don’t cost anything“, says Dafne after her mother died in an accident. Her father falls into a deep depression. But the thirty-year-old, either in spite of or because of her Down syndrome, gets control of her life again with the help of humour and energy. She takes up her old job in a supermarket and convinces her father to go on a hiking trip, where it becomes clear how complex dealing with mourning can be. A moving film about acceptance and being different. It is amateur actress Carolina Raspanti’s first role. She did not read the film script. Director Bondi says that due to her personality the film adjusted to her, not vice versa as it is usually the case.

Director's Biography:Born in Florence Italy in 1975. After studying film in Florence, he directed documentary and publicity films. His first film MAR NERO was awarded a prize in Locarno. DAFNE is his second full-length film to be shown in Italy.
