”Deadlock is fantastic. A bizarre, blistering film!” (Alejandro Jodorowsky, 1970). After a bank robbery, KId the gangster (Marquard Bohm), covered in blood and with a suitcase full of money, escapes to Deadlock, a ghost town in the middle of the Mexican desert. Charles Dump (Mario Adorf) takes the money off him, but can`t bring himself to kill him. He takes him in and looks after him. Together the two men wait for the second bank robber, Sunshine(Anthony Dawson). To the psychedelic soundtrack by the rock band Can, the three men fight over the suitcase of money. DEADLOCK was classified ”highly recommended” and was given a special showing at the Film Festival in Cannes.
