WYCIECZKA (THE WALL), produced by Martin Kosok from Braunschweig, somewhat resembles David Lynch when the village girl Anna meets Andrzej and Joanna, a rich couple from Warsaw. Full of naivity and driven by the wish for a different life, she decides to help them look for a ruin. During the trip, Anna soon turns out to be the better Joanna. Instinctively, she takes over Joanna`s role more and more and becomes an existential threat for the latter. The tensions in today`s Poland between poor and rich, country and town, future and past can be felt clearly in this thriller and leave scars not only with the protagonists.
