The Universe is divided up in a clear-cut way: deep under the earth`s surface live the sweet little mice and above, the evil dangerous bears. Bears and mice cannot be friends. This was always the case and will remain so for ever and ever. But the little mouse Célestine does not really want to believe in the story of the big, bad bear. When a little later however, she is really confronted by the hungry bear Ernest, she feels a little queasy. Based on a Belgian picture book series, the film takes a clear stand against prejudices. The cartoon animation film, created with much love to detail, encourages children to explore the world themselves and reach out openly to strangers.
