Green Horizons

The range of films around the subject of „Sustainability“ comes in 2018 to its fourth edition. A significant change this year is the GREEN HORIZONS AWARD, which, sponsored by the corporate group Oeding, will be given through three judges to the film that achieves the biggest impact by being well-made as well as factbased. We award the film that the judges confirm to have the biggest potential to change the behavior, thoughts or views of people for the benefit of a sustainable development through the combination of facts, history, engagement, words, music and pictures. The program contains five documentary films and one feature film, which topical bandwidth ranges from change in lifestyle, protecting rare kinds of biotopes to fair living and production models, fair with an eye to nature and social environments as they are depicted in NO MAN IS AN ISLAND. It is about having fair interaction, for example with small farmers as in the feature film BLOODY MILK, but also about conflict between nature conservation and the affected people as in ALAOTRA.
