”Stirring and soulful ode to Australia’s most important voice“, wrote The Guardian about the movie portrait of the musician Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, who died in 2017, and excited audiences around the globe. He had such an extraordinary voice that even superstar Sting invited him to sing a duett with him. Unheard of his success the concern of the blind musician was always to spread the history and culture of his folk. Director Paul Williams portrays the unconventional personality of Gurrumul with a lot of respect and an infallible feelig for the right moment. For this, he got standing ovations at the Berlinale 2018.
