Everything seems to go in the wrong direction in Alice`s life. The 39-year-old single doesn`t have a job and since the job centre cut her social welfare payments, money is also running short. She is pretty good in hiding all this from her parents and friends, but while trying so hard to get socially accepted, she gets even more lonely. She keeps herself above water with gas coupons from market research institutes. In her own choatic and charming way she doesn`t give up her search for love, acceptance and her chair at the ”musical chair” game.
