Ben loves his mentally handicapped brother, called ”SIMPEL” more than anything. After the mother`s death and in order to stop Simpel being put into a home, they go off in search of their father. They have not seen him for 15 years and are hoping for his support. On a road trip they get to know two medical students who help them. When Simpel disappears once again, his brother, who is out of his depth, realises that taking on responsibility does not just mean looking after his brother.
