Picture by One Fine Day Films. The nine-year-old Jo is incurably ill. As an action film fan, she dreams of becoming a superhero. Her sister can no longer stand seeing how Jo is spending her valuable remaining time only in bed. She encourages her to believe in her magical powers and animates the whole village to help Jo`s dream become true. This touching drama of the Kenyan director, that was produced amongst others by Tom Tykwer, relates of the power of fantasy and of an unusual way of saying farewell. At the Berlinale, it received a laudable mention: ”The fantasy of the girl and the humanity and the willpower of the whole village make the last few months of her life something special.” - In cooperation with Hospizarbeit Braunschweig e.V.
