The thrilling biopic TOVE tells the story of the exciting life of Finland's most famous author and illustrator – Tove Jansson, creator of the Moomins. In her turbulent search for identity, artistic freedom and sexual autonomy, her mythical creatures become a unique phenomenon of success.

TOVE was a huge hit with audiences in Finnish cinemas and was entered into the Oscar race by Finland. The film also won audience awards at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival and the OUTshine LGBT+ Film Festival Miami.

Director's Biography:Bergroth was born in 1977. Her films MARIA'S PARADISE, MIAMI and THE GOOD SON were screened at numerous festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, and received awards. TOVE is Bergroth's fifth full-length feature film.
