Ticket Manager (m/f/d) 
40th Braunschweig International Film Festival | Full-time (40 hours/week)

The 40th Braunschweig International Film Festival (BIFF) will take place from November 9 to 15, 2026. With more than 25,000 attendees, around 250 film screenings, and approximately 250 international guests from the film and media industry, BIFF is one of the most important public film festivals in northern Germany. In addition to showcasing young European cinema, the festival places a special focus on promoting emerging talent.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Preparing ticketing: Setting up all events and pricing structures using our ticketing provider VIVENU
  • Coordinating and managing advance ticket sales
  • Compiling sales statistics, analyses, and reports
  • Handling customer inquiries and managing complaints
  • Training and providing technical support to ticketing staff
  • Managing ticketing at the festival counter at the Astor during the festival
  • Venue management at the ASTOR—training and supervising box office and usher staff during the festival
  • Managing ticket allocations in consultation with the programming, press, and sponsorship departments
  • Preparing financial statements in collaboration with the accounting department

What you bring to the table

  • Experience in ticketing—for example, in the movie theater, theater, or concert industry—is desirable but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, meticulous, and reliable approach to work
  • A confident and service-oriented demeanor, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle conflict situations professionally
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Good to very good written and spoken English skills
