IM NAMEN MEINER TOCHTER - DER FALL KALINKA is based on a true story that began on 10 July 1982 - a legal scandal. On that day, Frenchman André Bamberski (Daniel Auteuil) learned that his daughter Kalinka was dead. She was 14 years old and was spending the holidays with her mother Dany (Marie-Josée Croze) and her German stepfather, the doctor Dieter Krombach (Sebastian Koch), in Lindau on Lake Constance. The circumstances surrounding her death soon appear suspicious to André Bamberski: both Krombach's behaviour and the autopsy leave many questions unanswered and he does everything he can to unravel the mysterious circumstances of her death.

Director's Biography:Born in Paris in 1966. A graduate of the La Fémis film school, he is active in all areas. As a screenwriter as well as a director, he has made numerous documentaries since 1999 before starting work on his first feature film in 2008.
