Ivie, who is Afro-German, lives with her best friend in Leipzig. Her clique calls her "Schoko". She temporarily works in her ex-boyfriend's solarium while she is still looking for a job as a teacher. Suddenly, her half-sister Naomi from Berlin, who she knew nothing about until now, shows up at her door. From her, Ivie learns about the death of their father, who is to be buried in Dakar and who neither of them knew until now. While the sisters slowly grow closer over time, Ivie comes to terms more and more with the reactions in her environment and increasingly questions not only her nickname, but also her previous self-image.
