Peru, 1988: Georgina is expecting her first child. The young woman gives birth in a supposedly social clinic. The next morning the child and the clinic have disappeared. Georgina is desperate, but determined to find her baby. She encounters a wall of silence from the authorities. Only a journalist is interested in her fate. Can they expose the human traffickers together? León's film, which is based on her father’s investigative journalism, is a meditative as well as disturbing journey into the abysses of the social conditions of Peru in the 80s. The universal themes of compassion and motherly love have rarely before been presented so powerfully, both visually and audibly.

Director's Biography:The Peruvian director, author and editor, Melina León, studied at the University of Lima and completed her MFA in film at Columbia University in New York City. León received the Cinevision Award at the Munich Film Festival for her feature film debut.
