An old legend says, that next to our human world two other parallel worlds exist: the demon world and the man-beast world. Every 3.000 years the super demon, the Overfiend Chojin, is supposed to appear to unite all three worlds together into a land of eternity. And for that, all worlds must first be destroyed. When earth's final hour is close, a courageous teenager comes into the picture.
All of that sounds like a story from the book? It is, but the share of violence and sexual content is so high, that the movie became an international cult film. It is the first anime movie in the USA to receive an NC 17-rating (then X rating).

Director's Biography:Director Hideko Takayama fully committed himself to anime. The creation of the OVERFIEND universe marked his debut and made his name. Afterwards numerous TV projects followed, as well as computer games.
