Love in times of Tinder – the film shows the lives of young people around 30 in the 13th arrondissement, a suburb of Paris that emerged in the 70s. They are searching for intimacy, sex and meaning, but above all for themselves. Three short stories by comic artist Adrian Tomine served as a template for the film. It is a milieu study with a focus on the relationships of the main characters. The images shot in black and white may seem slightly old-fashioned, but the clear view, the diverse cast and the influence of social media on the lives of the young people are very contemporary. Co-writers are Léa Mysius and Céline Sciamma, their female gaze defines the film.

Director's Filmography:
Born in Paris in 1952, the master of the French thriller first studied literature at the Sorbonne, then wrote very successful screenplays and realised his first film in 1994. He is famous for his intelligent, precise dialogues.
