The self-proclaimed "Plastic Soup Surfer" rides down the Rhine from its source to its mouth in 28 days using a stand-up paddle board, which he developed together with TU Delft from plastic waste. In doing so, he documents the existing pollution of the river and its banks with plastic and on his journey he meets with producers, politicians and scientists to discuss the subject. In addition to the physical challenges of the river journey, the film also documents the protagonist's change of mind with regard to those responsible.
